The adoption shelter is open during the following hours for viewing of animals:

Monday to Wednesday from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
Fridays the shelter is open from 10.00am-4.00pm (except the last Friday of every month where the shelter remains open until 8.30pm!).
Saturdays from 10.00am-4.00pm.
Sundays and Public Holidays from 11.00am to 3.30pm.
The adoption shelter is closed on Thursdays (unless it is a Public Holiday when we will remain open).

One of the animals in the adoption shelter could be your best friend! Each of them is looking for a loving and responsible home. Many of these animals are abandoned or given up by their owners simply because they had no time to look after them - pets have become victims of a throw away society. You can help. When you decide to bring a pet into your life, pay a visit to the SPCA first and give the unwanted animals a chance - for every SPCA animal that gets adopted, another unwanted pet can take its place and find a home as well. Take home a loyal friend who will truly love you for life!

The adoption of the animal is free, but you pay for the compulsory medical expenses which include the cost of sterilization, microchipping, vaccination and deworming .

Female dog $155
Male dog $145
Female cat $65
Male cat $50
Rabbits $10
Purebreed rabbits $50
Small mammals (hamsters, guinea pigs) $10 (microchip not incl.)
As a pet is a lifetime commitment with considerable responsibilities involved, the SPCA requests that preferably the whole family come to view the pet. Of course, if this is really not possible, you can come with just one parent . A counsellor will be on hand to help with queries and to advise you on various issues.
