Minty
Gender: Female
Breed: Cross Breed
Colour: Brown
Age: 5 yrs 11 mths
Not HDB Approved
More Pictures

Minty takes some time warming up to people and when she does, she is excellent company. Minty loves going out for walks and enjoy head rubs. Minty tends to be protective of her food bowl, which means that she should only have her food bowl removed only by experienced handlers. However, Minty is gradually learning that foodbowl removal can be a positive experience, with the help of force-free training. With continued trainings, Minty will learn to emulate desired behavior.

LIKES:

  • Going out on walks
  • Treats for positive behavior

AVOID:

  • Prolonged eye contact.
  • Touching the food bowl even when empty.
  • Touching hind leg area when harnassing/de-harnassing.

This dog marked Adoption By Appointment (ABA) will require you to make a prior appointment to view and interact with her. She needs more specialized care and training and therefore a counselor well versed with this dog will be at hand during the appointed meeting. Please call 62875355 ext 24 to make an appointment. If you are unable to get through to speak to someone, please leave a voice message and a staff or volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.

Jam
Gender: Male
Breed: Cross Breed
Colour: Black/Tan
Age: 4 yrs 3 mths
Not HDB Approved

Jam is afraid of unfamiliar people and will need time to warm up to his new family. He is very excited when he sees other dogs and needs to be taught how to behave appropriately when meeting his four-legged friends, using reward-based training.

Jam is doing well with force free training - many things that he found scary before don't seem to be unsafe anymore. He is also making continuous improvement in walking calmly at his handler’s side. Jam would do best with a family that is patient with him and will continue his force free training.

LIKES:

  • Spending time with familiar people
  • Showing off my tricks and getting my rewards
  • Non-squeaky chew toys

AVOID:

  • Petting me as I am not comfortable yet
  • Coming too close when I am not familiar with you (I will walk away from you)

Yora
Gender: Female
Breed: Cross Breed
Colour: Black/White
Age: 5 yrs 4 mths
Not HDB Approved

Yora is a little shy around strangers, but take some time to get to know her and you'll be rewarded with her heart-warming smile and her wagging tail. Not just a pretty face, she also has a multitude of tricks under her belt. She's friendly towards other dogs but would prefer not to share her food, and is always eager to play and work for treats. Yora is afraid of loud noises and thunderstorms, but has been working on it and is no longer fazed by big trucks. Already on her way to becoming a proper lady, Yora will blossom even more with lots of love and training.

Randy
Gender: Male
Breed: Cross Breed
Colour: Brown
Age: 3 yrs 5 mths
Not HDB Approved

Randy is your typical cross breed boy who is happy and good-natured. He likes other dogs and just lives for his daily walks! He loves to explore and is quite adventurous. Randy is looking for an active family who will take him out at least once a day on walks and give him loads of affection!
He would be a perfect buddy and companion.

Tye
Gender: Male
Breed: Cross Breed
Colour: Brown
Age: 3 yrs 7 mths
Not HDB Approved

Tye has grown into a handsome pup without losing the exuberance of his younger self. Given his nature, it is safe to say that there is nothing he enjoys more than playtime with other friends, and having a patient human by his side while he learns to be brave in unfamiliar environments. With consistent and humane approaches, he has been learning to be comfortable with handling and is slowly but surely gaining confidence in the process – not without a trick or two in the bag!

LIKES:

  • Greeting and playing with most other dogs
  • Learning new tricks (and what a quick learner too!)
  • Open spaces to run about and explore

AVOID:

  • Entering his kennel without supervision
  • Quick, sudden movements that can startle or excite him to jump
  • Forcing a collar/harness on him as he can be frightened
  • Pulling him if he stalls as he will struggle with the leash
