Animals react differently towards different people. We highly encourage potential adopters to visit the animals personally to learn more about them from our shelter staff members. Together with an interaction session, you will then be able to see for yourself how well the animal can get along with you and your family.

Diana
Gender: Female
Breed: Xbreed
Colour: Black Tan
Age: 6 yrs 6 mths
HDB Approved
More Pictures

When Diana was first rescued, she already had her current wrist injuries on both front legs. We suspect she was previously owned as she was found with a collar and a leash.

Based on radiographs, the severe wrist injuries happened around 5 to 6 years ago. Because the injuries were so old, surgery to fix the joints would be very costly, with a low success rate.

Diana would be more suitable to be an indoor dog and not fit for extended periods outdoor.

Cinnamon makes you work hard to earn his trust. But having earned it, you will be his BFF. Initially, he might avoid eye contact, slink away or even bark at you if you are a new face to him. But, really, all the shy puppy is asking you for is time, space and patience in getting to know him. Over time, he will show you his true nature and it is irresistible. He's playful, exuberant, and goofy. Always ready to sit or go into a down position for a reward, he knows that being calm and cooperative is the answer to getting his rewards, such as going out on walks and rubs at his sides. With patience and consistency in handling him using rewards-based training, he will be your best pal forever.

LIKES:

  • Going out on walks
  • Rubs at the sides of his tummy
  • Food puzzles

AVOID:

  • Raising your arms over him
  • Sudden movements that will startle him
  • Staring at him into his eyes

Minty takes some time warming up to people and when she does, she is excellent company. Minty loves going out for walks and enjoy head rubs. Minty tends to be protective of her food bowl, which means that she should only have her food bowl removed only by experienced handlers. However, Minty is gradually learning that food bowl removal can be a positive experience, with the help of force-free training. With continued trainings, Minty will learn to emulate desired behaviour.

LIKES:

  • Going out on walks
  • Treats for positive behaviour

AVOID:

  • Prolonged eye contact
  • Touching the food bowl even when empty
  • Touching hind leg area when harnessing/de-harnessing
