Rehoming Notice Board
Click here to fill in form

In our bid to save lives and help those animals needing new homes, we've set up this page for personal adoption notices. We are only providing the service of posting the notices on our website. Please liaise directly with the contact person listed on the notices if you're interested.

If you feel that any of the rehomers may be misrepresenting themselves, you can report it to us via our Contact Us page. If necessary, we will remove the post.

If you're trying to find a loving new home for your little (and not so little) creature(s), fill out the form found at the top. Please take note that each user is permitted only one rehoming notice per month. Should you have more than one animal, please combine the pictures and information together in the same format.

Here are some sample questions to ask potential adopters to make sure your pet is going to a good home.

Coco and Shadow - Singapore Special

Animal Name: Coco (right) and Shadow (left)
Gender: Female
Color: Tan with white paws and belly; tri-color
Breed: Singapore Special
Age: 5 yrs 1 mth
Training: Basic obedience-trained,Toilet-trained,Understand basic commands
Microchip: Yes
Sterilisation: Yes
Medical History: Nil
Personality:
Coco is loyal to humans she has formed a bond with, can play rough with humans, but picky with dog friends. She loves curling up beside you while you're watching tv, or sitting at your feet if you're just working on the computer. She is very protective of anything and anyone she loves, and basks in human contact, even if she's sitting on your face while you sleep.

Coco** has the saddest eyes that have tricked many people into feeding her extra treats and walks too. She will adapt better in an environment as a single dog, but can be trained to accept her roommates with a firm handler.

Low energy dog - can lounge on a sofa the entire day and just be sleeping.
Physically strong - an owner who can handle the resistance of a 25kg dog in a 17kg- package.
Very food motivated, except when fearful.
Grass-trained - 2 walks a day minimum, will whine incessantly and bother you if she needs to go really badly.

Shadow is much more playful than Coco, as she is almost a year younger. She has a happy-go-lucky individual who will lick you nonstop and ask for love. She loves ear scratches and belly rubs and is sometimes so excited that she will pull her tail muscle from the non-stop tail wagging. Don't worry, it returns to its usual condition within 24 hours.

Shadow likes having as much attention as possible and does better with dogs smaller than her. For reference, she stands about 35-40cm from paw to shoulder. She has only survived so well with Coco because Coco took her as her own pup when she was a month old, so Coco gives in to her a lot. Shadow likes a warmer climate even though she has medium length fur, sunbathing is a large part of her routine, and she loves laying on chairs, or structures above the ground.

Medium-energy dog - Sprints off into the distance on the beach, will come back when you shout "Bye, Shadow!", and when left alone at home can also sleep the whole day.
Physically strong dog - will tug on the rope, but understands a stern tone in the voice. Carrying a stick for swishing will also return behavioural results without ever inflicting pain on her.
Has a particular inclination to chasing beetles, roaches, lizards, shrews and cats. She will play with them till they're dead and leave them as gifts for you.
Very food motivated, but the handler has to be firm with commanding her, has food protective tendencies when in an environment she's unfamiliar with.
Grass-trained, paper-trained - Does well in apartment living even if you don't have time to walk her very often.

Both Coco and Shadow do not chew on socks or shoes, or books you leave lying around the house.
The commands they respond to are:

sit, stay, down, all the way down (tap on floor), paw, other paw, pray, say sorry, up, off, stop it, slowly, gentle (when receiving treats), quiet, enough, wait, pee-pee time, poopy time

words they respond to:
treat? walk? shower?

Shadow and Coco do best when adopted together because their personalities complement and contrast each other in a way that they also keep each other's behaviour in check. However, they are dogs who are open to new experiences and can feel love very instinctively, so they can be adopted separately. These are dogs who need someone who can accept that they will make mistakes sometimes, just like humans do, but if they trust you, they will never question your authority and decisions.

**Prefers female handlers, but men who gain her trust can share an even stronger bond with her.
